Day 2: Taking Action
Activity 1: A Long Walk to Freedom [4 Points]
Day 1: The Beginning
I have just arrived in my new jail cellar at Robben Island Prison. It is really uncomfortable and small, I guess everyday ill be sitting in this cellar doing nothing except working for the jail. I feel really sad and depressed that I can only receive one letter and only see one visitor every six months. In my head I think how did I end up in this prison?, What did I do?, How long is it gonna be until I see my family?

Activity 2: School Strike for Climate
1. Most schools started to change their topic for learning to Climate Change
2. Climate change doesn't just affect humans, it affects everything on Earth
3. Their network is led by students from cities and town across Australia
This year my class and some other classes were doing a programme called EMR
And we had to create a action project about our marine life and rubbish pollution and stuff like that. We also did a little clean up at our local creek named Oakley creek.

Activity 3: "I Have A Dream" [6 Points]
The problem was that they separated the Black from the white. Rosa Parks was on a bus and then it got filled up which meant she had to move and let the white people sit down because she was black, but she didn't she just sat there because she was tired of this law because its just a skin colour. She then got arrested for breaking segregation laws and also got fined but she refused to pay and she argued that it was the law that was wrong. So she and other people such as Matin Luther King Jr stood up for the African Americans. At that time I would think the white people were unhappy because they dont like black coloured people but at the same time I would think the Black people were happy because they wont get treated disgustingly anymore.
And I wouldve thought that all of the Ku Klux Klan members would be arrested for killing black people because of there colour

ReplyDeleteHi again Brooklyn,
Well done on completing all of the week two, day two activities! I enjoyed reading what you’d learnt from the School Strike for Climate Australia website. Was there any information that was new information to you, or did you know most of it already? Did you attend the Climate Strike Protest in Auckland last year?
The EMR programme sounds amazing, well done you guys for helping reduce global warming and climate change! Is there anything at home that you and your family are doing to help the environment?
Great image attribution too, keep it up!
