Rocket presentation at Wesley Primary School

On Monday the 2nd of July my class and I walked to Wesley Primary School to teach the children about rockets and flight. When we got there we went inside Room 3 and then Room 4 walked inside. When everyone was sitting down Mr Walker introduced himself and then started talking about rockets. Mr Walker was mainly talking about how a rocket works and how it flies. We were talking about gravity and then was talking about Newtons 3 laws. We then went outside and set up the rocket launcher. Before we did the rocket we brang the skateboard out and then we had a volunteer to come up and throw the ball while standing on the skateboard. The point of this was to see if the person would move back on the skateboard after they threw the ball. After a few more people tried it out we started to setup the rocket. Everyone had to move back because it wouldn't be safe if everyone was standing close because it would blow into someones face we then had people buddy up to have a turn with the pump and pulling the string once some people had a turn we stopped and the classes went back to there classrooms and then we started to walk back to school.
This was a cool opportunity to go to Wesley Primary School and show the kids the rocket experiment.

  1. Hi Brooklyn, I really like the way you presented your work. It makes me think of when I was with you at the rocket presentation. Have you thought about adding in any pictures? If you would like to see my work, my blog is: http://wisjamied.blogspot.com/
